In Bloom for PP532

Happy Sunday!
Time for a new creative challenge over at The Paper Players
This week, Joanne is hosting our monthly Color Challenge.
As soon as I saw these colors, i couldn’t wait to create with them! They are SO pretty together and perfect for the Spring season. They also happen to be featured in the Hydrangea Hill Designer Series Paper, so that was an added bonus. I actually purchased the DSP but not the stamp set and dies. I’m finding that the paper works really well with lots of other sets like the In Bloom stamp set and coordinating Pierced Blooms Dies

*I’ve listed all of the measurements and details for my card below and there is a full supply list at the very end of this post.
This card also uses the Hydrangea Hill Mercury Glass Designer Acetate Paper, which is what I used on the stitched circle. The paper has a soft shine which really adds elegant detail. It comes with two colors in the pack, Highland Heather and Rococo Rose. The mercury glass adds such a nice touch to this card in person, along with the Wink of Stella glitter I added to some of the flowers. That’s kind of tough to see in the photos but trust me, that sparkly detail really pops. I really like the way this card came out and I hope you do as well!
Card Measurements and Details:
  • Highland Heather Card Base: 4-1/4” x 11, scored at 5-1/2”
  • Old Olive Cardstock: 4” x 5-1/4”
  • Basic White Cardstock: 3-7/8” x 5-1/8”, emboss with Dainty Diamonds 3D Embossing Folder
  • Hydrangea Hill Designer Series Paper: 3-1/4” x 4-1/2”
  • Hydrangea Hill Mercury Glass designer Acetate: die cut the largest circle from the Stitched Shapes Dies
  • Old Olive Cardstock: scrap to die cut 5 of the double leaves from the Pierced Blooms Dies (4 on front, 1 for inside card)
  • Highland Heather Cardstock: scrap to die cut 3 of the flowers from the Pierced Blooms Dies (2 on front, 1 for inside card)
  • Seaside Spray Cardstock: scrap to die cut 2 of the small stitched flowers and a trio of mini flowers  from the Pierced Blooms Dies (1 on front, 2 for inside card)
  • Accent some the flowers with Clear Wink of Stella Glitter Brush
  • Basic White Cardstock: 2-3/4” x 3/4”, stamp sentiment in Highland Heather ink and punch banner on right side with Tailored Tag Punch
  • Seaside Spray twine and Rhinestone Basic Jewels
  • Basic White Cardstock (inside card): 4” x 5-1/4”
  • Hydrangea Hill Designer Series Paper (inside card): 3/4” x 5-1/4”
Finally a peek inside the card! I used another strip of that gorgeous DSP and die cut flowers and leaves. Since this could be a congratulations card suitable for a few different occasions, I just left the rest blank to either add a sentiment later or simply write a handwritten note for the occasion.

I hope you will join us this week over at The Paper Players and share your project for our Color Challenge. We’d love to see what you come up with! You can link up your project through Noon PST on Friday March 19th, 2021

Stamping Inkspirations - March 2021 Blog Hop

Hello and Happy Saturday to you! I am super excited to share a project with you today as part of the very first Stamping Inspirations Blog Hop! We are a group of stampers from all over the world who enjoy sharing our love of Stampin’ Up!® products.

You may have arrived here from Susan Webster’s blog or you may be starting the blog hop here. Welcome! My name is Anne Marie Hile and I live in the Texas here in the United States. I’m so happy you stopped by today!
Our theme for the blog hop is: Easter / Spring! I immediately knew I wanted to use the Springtime Joy stamp set because I hadn't inked up that cute little bunny yet and this was the perfect opportunity. She’s just so CUTE!

*I’ve listed all of the measurements and details for my card below and there is a full supply list at the very end of this post.

Color Combo:
I decided to go with a soft color combo and kept the layout fairly simple to keep the focus on the sweet bunny. The Ornate Floral 3D Embossing Folder added great texture and also coordinated with the flowers on the bunny image. I used the Blending Brushes to add some Petal Pink shading to the stitched circle. It’s tough to see in the photos, but I added some Wink of Stella to the fussy-cut bunny and accented her with some pretty pearls.
Card Measurements and Details:
  • Petal Pink Card Base: 4-1/4” x 11”, scored at 5-1/2”
  • Mint Macaron Cardstock: 4” x 5-1/4”
  • Basic White Cardstock: 3-7/8” x 5-1/8”, emboss top 2/3” with Ornate Floral 3D Embossing Folder, leaving space at bottom left to stamp sentiment in Momento Ink
  • Peony Garden Designer Series Paper:
  • Mint Macaron Cardstock: scrap to die cut a 2-1/2” scalloped circle from the Layering Circles Dies
  • Basic White Cardstock: scrap to die cut a 2-3/8" circle from the Stitched Shapes Dies, add ink to the background using Petal Pink Ink and Blending Brush
  • Basic White Cardstock: scrap to stamp the bunny image from the Springtime Joy stamp set, color with Stampin’ Blends, accent with Wink of Stella, fussy cut and add to stitched circle with Stampin’ Dimensionals
  • Pearls and White Baker’s Twine
  • Basic White Cardstock (inside card): 4” x 5-1/4”, stamp sentiment, flower and butterfly in Momento ink, color images with Stampin' Blends
Finally a peek inside the card. I added a coordinating Easter sentiment and a couple little colored images to dress it up. I really like how this card came together and I hoe you do too!
