Paper Players 64- Plant or Animal CAS

Hi there and Happy Paper Players Sunday to you! This week, the lovely and talented Ann Schach is our  hostess and she has challenged us to create a Clean and Simple card using an animal OR a plant as your  main image.
For my design, I used the fantastic sketch over at Cardabilities this week. I just discovered this site and there is some awesome creative inspiration there! :)
I ended up creating TWO cards for the challenge. I started out with a baby card in mind, as I am needing one for a dear friend. Then, after whipping up a 'boy" card...I just decided to make another card for a "little lady", too. You can never have too many baby cards on hand...I actually have a swap coming up later this month that is "baby-related"...hmmmm! As the theme of this challenge was CAS (clean and simple), I tried to keep my layers to a minimum (for the first time EVER) and wanted to showcase the new Nursery Nest DSP I recently purchased. I paired the paper with the Fox & Friends stamp set.

Here is a close-up of the "boy" card:
Here is the close-up of the "girl" card:
Same elements...different colors...and there you have it: simple cards for a baby boy AND a baby girl! All of the supplies used are listed below but if you have any questions, please shoot me an email.  We sure hope you will join us this week at the Paper Players. Be sure to visit the rest of the gals on the Design Team to check out their lovely creations

Before I go, I wanted to share a photo. This is EPIC because since we have had these two crazy cats under one roof...this is THE closest they have EVER been to each other. I think the look on Benjamin 's face completely expresses the utter "joy" he is feeling for this moment, as well:
Thanks for stopping by today! Hope your day is HAPPY and fun!!! :)

  1. Both cards are very sweet !! Love the colors !

  2. What cute cards! I adore Fox & Friends so much and it perfect with that dsp. Just adorable baby cards! Love the picture of the kitties too! Ours get along one minute, not the next. I'll see them napping together and five minutes later the hissing and fighting start up. Silly animals.

  3. Such cheerful cards for baby boy and girl! Happy Sunday!

  4. These are so stinkin' cute, Anne Marie! I love the texture, the bling...and that wonderful sketch! You did a fabulous job! Someone will treasure these for sure!

  5. Wow, what a fun sketch and a cute interpretation of it--both of them! And those little furry cuties look like they've been friends for years...who would know they weren't??

  6. Ann Marie these two baby cards are adorable! Love them both. You did just fantastic with the CAS (this is also my HARD one). The touch of bling is perfect and the kitties are tooo KUTE! hugs

  7. Anne Marie, these are both just adorable. I love this sketch and the prints you chose are just perfect! Thanks for sharing your new find with us ;)

  8. Ben's expression...thanks for the giggle. Your cards are super duper cute! Love the colour choices! I need a card for a baby coming soon...this is perfect! I can feel a CASE coming on!

  9. Your cards are adorable Anne Marie! Love that layout and am going to have to check out the site. Your choice of paper patterns is perfect and the colors are bright and not to pastelish. . .great cards! I'm just amazed that I heard another story about cats under the same roof not being close to each other. I just finished cat sitting for two Siamese cats here in the neighborhood. The owner said they rarely spend any time together! I just find that so strange. Shotsy and Gunther are always together. Must be a cat thing. Your cats are beautiful! Best, Curt

  10. Anne Marie- These cards are just amazing. I love the textured backgrounds, the jewels, the ribbons ALL of it! I will definitely be CASEing these cards.

  11. Oh - wonderful! I love the sketch layout!! this is pretty CAS for your style :)

    Nice work!!

Love the animals but I LOVE that you snapped the pic of the kitties too :)

  12. Oh my goodness, AM this are freakin' adorable! Love the panels of DSP with their rounded corners and you're the mix master with all those patterns. The parents will treasure it for years to come. Thanks for the introduction to the sketch blog too! Great cards, my friend!

  13. Love the idea of doing both a baby girl and baby boy card. Now you will have one on hand. They are both so cute. I love the Fox and Friends set, I used it for my little boy's first birthday. So cute. Great cards.

  14. I love these!! Those stamps are among my faves...and I have that dsp, unopened! I think I need to play!

  15. Love the pic of your kitties, such an expression, maybe they have decided to like each other. Your cards are adorable, love the colors, paper and the layout.

  16. Such adorable baby cards! Really love them...

  17. Awww, these are so cute! I love your take on the sketch.

  18. I love the way you altered the strips just a little! These are so sweet!
