Christmas in July for Paper Players # 102

Hello there! This week at the Paper Players, we are focusing on a fun theme challenge. The lovely and talented Ann Schach is our hostess this week and she has come up with something fun. Fa-la-la-la-la, it's "Christmas in July"!
After setting up some holiday music on my iPod, I snagged the new Be of Good Cheer DSP and the Stitched Stockings (ret.) stamp set for my card. Isn't that paper fun? Even though I'm not a huge fan of the red and green color combo for Christmas cards, those patterns make it hard to resist.

I used the sketch over at the Merry Monday Challenge for inspiration and I'm also going to share my card over at a new fun challenge blog I recently discovered, 52 {Christmas} Card Throwdown. Check it out! :)
I drsssed up my little stocking with some gittery accents. It's really easy to make your own glitter paper in a flash! Simply take a VersaMark ink pad, drag it all over a piece of card stock, sprinkle some Iridescent Ice Enbossing Powder on the inked up card stock and heat emboss with a heat gun. Instant sparkles! I finished off the stylin' stockings with some baker's twine and a bitty jingle bell. The complete supply list can be found at the end of the post.
Here is a quick shot of the inside of the card:
Thanks for stopping by today! Are you in the holiday spirit? Please come join in the fun this week at the Paper Players and play along with us! The challenge is open until Friday July 6th at Noon (PDT). This week we are also welcoming our newest Design Team members, so please stop by and say hello to these lovely ladies:

  1. Ann Marie this is adorable. I have most of the required items to CASE this cutie except that DSP.. LOVE it! I have to admit Christmas is the last thing on my mind in this HEAT wave... holy cow. BUT I really ought to be getting starting on my cards if the first half of the year is any indication of how far behind I'll be! hugs.

I was sad that those stockings didn't stick around longer - so fun to see your card using them! Hope you don't mind if I have to CASE your idea - its just too cute!
