(Those shoes are pretty awesome, aren't they?)
I did want to share this week's challenge over at the Paper Players with you though. Our very own Nance Leedy is our hostess this week with a fun Back to School RULES Theme Challenge. Please check it out and also stop by and visit the rest of the fabulous Design Team member's blogs to see what they came up with for the challenge. We would love it if you would join us with your project this week. The challenge closes on Friday August 10th at Noon (PDT).

*An update on my surgery: Everything did go very well on Friday, with both feet. (Both big toes went under the knife, along with an additional procedure on my left foot for nerve damage.) Now the real challenge begins. It is an 8-12 week recovery period, so I will be spending time at home resting to keep the swelling down and the healing moving in the right direction. I am not entirely sure what it looks like under those bandages and won't until this coming Friday. I will tell you one thing though, I am very thankful for effective pain meds right now. It is definitely uncomfortable...ok, painful, that is for sure. I am also very thankful for my amazing husband who has been right by my side helping me out. He is awesome! I'm hoping I can get into my craft room sometime this week. As long as I am sitting with my feet elevated, I'm doing what I am supposed to be doing for recovery. Right now, I'm taking it day by day. Thanks to everyone for all of the calls, cards, texts, emails and messages of encouragement. It truly means so much to me and is helping this process along right now. So until next time...
Have a HAPPY day! :)
Here's another get well wish for you Anne Marie. Wow, that's a long recuperation. I'm happy all went well and you'll be back on your feet in no time (pun intended - I'm sure you've heard that often enough). Be well - enjoy the forced rest.
ReplyDeleteOh Anne - I'm glad your surgery went well and I'm sorry you're in so much pain :(
ReplyDeleteAt least your toes are polished pretty :)
Your feet don't look happy - I'm so glad you have good pain meds so you are a little bit happier...but I bet it will be MUCH better when you can easily craft again!
ReplyDeleteLook at you--even with foot surgery your toes still look glamorous in their Cherry Cobbler polish! :-) So glad everything went well and hope that you can take it easy and get the down time your toesies need! Big hugs, my friend!
ReplyDeleteSending along another wish for a quick and speedy recovery. I'm sorry to hear you are in pain, but you are totally rockikng those red toes! Most important to have a great pedicure if your feet have to be sore!!
ReplyDeleteHi AM! I know I've said it before, but so glad to hear that all went well and that you are recovering now. Take it easy, rest and enjoy the pampering. Here's hoping that you can get some crafting time in before too long (but not at the expense of your feet!). Are the boys keeping you company as much as possible and trying to soothe you as much as they can?
ReplyDeleteAAAwwwww Ann Marie, so sorry your tootsies are in bandages, but hey... those toes look pretty special! I hope you have happy healing and it would be good time do some MDS creating.

ReplyDeleteMissing you & your creation---but rest up so you can get back to NORMAL!
ReplyDeleteI had a total knee replacement at the end of January, so I well appreciate what it means to have a lengthy recovery – and how valuable that support system is! All the best for the weeks ahead. I spent quite a bit of time on Pinterest in the early weeks of my recovery – it required just the right amount of attention, and made me feel like I was "accomplishing" something by finding all that creative inspiration!
ReplyDeleteDear Anne MArie.. SO glad at least the operation is over for you! You're a trooper. I hope your feet will heal soon and without complications.
ReplyDeleteTAke good acre and yes.. Enjoy Pinterest.. Love that place!
Inky hugs, Pauline
