My card features a pairing of the Dear Doily and the Well Said Bundles both from the Stampin’ Up!® Occasions Catalog.
The inspiration for my card came from this week’s Fusion Card Challenge. This is such a fun challenge where there are SO many ways to gain creative inspiration. I decided to use the sketch, the colors and tried to incorporate some of the textures from the inspiration photos.
Colors for today’s card:
To get started, I cut out smallest doily Framelits, four doilies each in each of the three colors. Then I added them to the embossed Whisper White Cardstock using Mini Stampin Dimensionals. You actually ned to cut the Mini Stampin’ Dimensionals in half to make them even smaller, but the dimension it adds is worth the extra work.
I added a simple sentiment from the Well Written Framelits because I really wanted to keep it simply stated. I do find that using the Multipurpose Adhesive Sheets when cutting out these words is very helpful and a whole lot easier than trying to attach them with liquid glue. I added a little bow and some pearls for more texture and there you have it.
Card Measurements:
- Mint Macaron Card Base - 4-1/4” x 11”, scored at 5-1/2”
- Soft Sea Foam Cardstock - 4” x 5-1/4”
- Whisper White Cardstock - 3-3/4” x 5”
- Whisper White Cardstock (for sentiment) - 3/4” x 2-3/4”
- Soft Sea Foam Cardstock (for sentiment) - 1” x 3”
- Whisper White Cardstock (inside card) - 4” x 5-1/4"
Finally, a look at the inside of the card using the Dear Doily stamps and a sentiment from the Well Said stamp set to dress it up a bit.
