Everything Amazing for PP453

Hey, hey, it’s Sunday! This week at The Paper Players, Claire has a fun Theme Challenge for us:
Back to School
I have to admit, I struggled a little bit with this one at first because I don’t really have a lot of “kid stamps”. Then, I had the epiphany that Back to School isn’t JUST for kids. It’s for students of ALL ages, teachers, bus drivers, school staff, administrators, parents, coaches…the list is endless. There are so many people to celebrate, I could go on and on. It’s just  good excuse to make a card to tell someone you appreciate them!
My card is actually for a friend who recently decided to get her real estate license. Hey, that qualifies for Back to School, right? I also think this card would be great to encourage an older kiddo, maybe in high school or college, at the start of their school year as well. Because, let’s be honest, occasionally we ALL need a little reminder that we CAN do AMAZING things!

Today’s Colors:

As soon as I saw the Everything Amazing stamp set, I knew I had to have it. I love a big, bold sentiment and this one checks that box. I stamped it in Versamark Ink on Poppy Parade Cardstock and then heat embossed using the Shimmery White Stampin’ Emboss Powder. The photos do not truly capture the level of sparkle…it’s FABULOUS! Then, I used the Stitched Nested Labels dies to cut it out.

I stamped the smaller sentiments in Mango Melody ink and popped them up using Mini Stampin’ Dimensionals. The trio of little hearts was fussy-cut and popped up on Stampin’ Dimensionals. The See a Silhouette DSP was a fun accent to really make the colors pop.

Card Measurements:
  • Poppy Parade Card Base - 5-1/2” x 8-1/2”, scored at 4-1/4”
  • Mango Melody Cardstock - 4” x 5-1/4”
  • Whisper White Cardstock - 3-7/8” x 5-1/8”
  • See a Silhouette Designer Series Paper - 3-3/4” x 5”
  • Scraps of Poppy Parade and Whisper White for stamped and die-cut / fussy-cut images
  • Whisper White Cardstock (for “You will do” sentiment) - 1/4” x 1-1/2”
  • Whisper White Cardstock (for “Things” sentiment) - slightly larger than 1/4”  x 1-5/8’
  • Whisper White Cardstock (inside card) - 4” x 5-1/4”
  • See a Silhouette Designer Series Paper (inside card) - 1” x 4”
  • Mango Melody Cardstock (inside card) - 1/4” x 4
Finally, here is a peek inside the card. Full disclosure, I had to add that little 1/4” x 4” piece of Mango Melody cardstock to cover up an ink “oopsie”. It worked and I didn’t end up wasting any cardstock, so yay for that!

I hope you will join us this week over at The Paper Players and share your project with our Theme Challenge. We’d love to see what you come up with! You can link up your project through Noon PST on Friday August 9th, 2019.
