Kylie’s Demonstrator Training Blog Hop - October 2019

Hello and welcome to Kylie’s Demonstrator Training Blog Hop for October! We are a group of Stampin’ Up!® Demonstrators from all over the world sharing our love of stamping. We are all part of Kylie Bertucci’s training group where we are having a great time learning and growing our Stampin’ Up!® businesses. If this is the first time you are visiting my blog, welcome! My name is Anne Marie Hile and I live in the United States. I’m so glad you stopped by today!

You may be starting here or have arrived from another blog - either way, you can find the link list of all of the participants at the bottom of this post. Happy Hopping!

My card today features the Gather Together Bundle, which is a fantastic stamp set with coordinating dies that is perfect to celebrate the fall season. I also used the Come to Gather Designer Series Paper which coordinates beautifully with the bundle.
Last month, I received a card in our team swaps from my friend Gloria which inspired me to pair Pretty Peacock with Mint Macaron using this suite of products. I don’t know why, but I don’t seem to reach for Mint Macaron very often, but it is truly stunning mixed with this combo.

Color Combo:

The leaf dies are probably my favorite part of this suite. Not only do the cut out the images but they also add an embossed detail which really makes them pop.

Tip: to get a really detailed embossed image, first spritz your cardstock with some water before running the leaf through your die cutting machine. This creates a lot more definition in the embossed image and almost a “two-tone” color effect after the cardstock dries.

Those tiny little leafy accents are from the Lovely Flowers Dies. I like that they add an extra pop of detail without being TOO large. To dress them up a little, I added Clear Wink of Stella Glitter Brush for some sparkle.
For the Pretty Peacock background, I randomly stamped the wheat image in Pretty Peacock ink. Then, I took the stamp that looks like a bunch of “sandy dots” and stamped around the wheat images, first stamping the ink off once so it wasn’t as bold. After all the stamping was done, I used the Subtle 3D Embossing Folder to add some extra texture to the cardstock.
I stamped the pumpkins in Early Espresso Ink on the woodgrain pattern of the Come to Gather Designer Series Paper and then cut them out using the dies. It’s hard to see in the photo, but I went over the inked-up areas using Clear Wink of Stella Glitter Brush. It really adds a nice detail because everything is better with a little sparkle, right?

From there, I just layered up all of the layers and dies using glue dots and Stampin’ Dimensionals. The final touches were a little Linen Thread bow on one of the pumpkins and a trio of Mint Macaron pearls. I love using Stampin’ Blends Markers to color rhinestones and pearls. That makes it easy to get the color you need to coordinate with your project!

Card Measurements:
  • Early Espresso Card Base - 4-1/4” x 11”, scored at 5-1/2”
  • Mint Macaron Cardstock - 4” x 5-1/4”
  • Pretty Peacock Cardstock (stamped and then embossed with Subtle 3D Embossing Folder) - 3-7/8” x 5-1/8”
  • Early Espresso Cardstock - 3-1/4” x 3-1/4”

Finally, a look at the inside of the card using more of the Come to Gather DSP and coordinating images from the Gather Together stamp set. I left it black to either add a handmade note or another sentiment when I’m ready to send the card.
