May 2020 Stampin’ Friends Blog Hop

Welcome to the Stampin' Friends Blog Hop! We share on the third Thursday of every month with fun projects from all around the world! If you are following the hop, you arrived here from Maureen’s blog. Welcome! This month our theme is Masculine / My Guy". I hope you have some fun hopping with us this month and find lots of creative inspiration.

My projects this month include a card along with a coordinating bookmark using the Beautiful World Stamp Set and World Map Dies which are also a sneak peek from the new Stampin’ Up!® Annual Catalog which is launching on June 3rd.
I just love the products featured in the new World of Good Suite! They are perfect for masculine projects and work great for travel-themed projects, as well. this little card and coordinating bookmark would also be great for a graduation, as the sentiments are also appropriate for the occasion. I’ve listed all of the measurements for both projects below along with a supply list at the end of this post.
The new World of Good Specialty Designer Series Paper features beautiful designs that compliment the stamp set and along with bronze foil details. It also features one of the new 2020-2022 In Colors - Misty Moonlight. There are also new Bronze Foil Sheets featured in this suite which I did not receive in my pre-order but will be available in the new catalog on June 3rd. I used the Gold Stampin’ Emboss Powder to heat emboss the sentiment and the feather and although it’s not a “perfect” match to the bronze foil, it’s pretty close.

Color Combo:
To add some texture to the background, I used the new Old World Paper 3D Embossing Folder. I originally sponged some ink around the edges but felt like it was a little too “distressed” with the rest of the card elements, so I just left the edges clean instead. This suite also features the new Antiqued Corners & Slides Elements. I accented the corners of the card with two of the metallic corners and I just love the added detail, don’t you?
