Welcome to the Stampin' Friends Blog Hop! We share on the third Thursday of every month with fun projects from all around the world! If you are following the hop, you arrived here from Tiziano Milano’s blog. Welcome! I’m Anne Marie Hile and I’m here from Texas in the United States. This month, our theme is “Anything Goes" I hope you have some fun hopping with us this month and find lots of creative inspiration.
These projects originally started out as two completely different things. I started out with a coffee stamp set and then leaned toward a cute goat stamp set…nothing was “working”. Then I decided to do something totally different than my original plan and it all came together. All of the measurements for my projects are listed below and there is a full supply list at the very end of this blog post.
I decided on the Prized Peony stamp set for my projects because I’m absolutely smitten with the stamp set and and the coordinating Peony Garden Designer Series Paper. There is just something about Petal Pink and Gray Granite together. So pretty, right?
Color Combo:
I just love this card with the soft colors and that beautiful peony image. I heat embossed the peony so it really has some awesome shiny detail “in-person”. The Gray Granite Shimmer Ribbon in this Suite is also gorgeous and ties beautiful bows. I have been using it a LOT recently.
Card Measurements and Details:
- Petal Pink Card Base - 4-1/4” x 11”, scored at 5-1/2”
- Gray Granite Cardstock - 4” x 3-3/4”
- Petal Pink Cardstock - 3-7/8” x 5-1/8”, stamp image in Versamark and heat emboss in Clear Stampin’ Emboss Powder
- Peony Garden Designer Series Designer Series Paper - 1-3/4”x 3-7/8”
- Vellum Cardstock - die cut leafy accents from the Nature's Thoughts Dies
- Gray Granite Shimmer Ribbon
- Champagne Rhinestones and Pearls
- Whisper White Cardstock - scrap to stamp sentiment in Gray Granite Ink and die cut using Tasteful Labels Dies
- Whisper White Cardstock (inside card) - 4” x 5-1/4"
The coordinating treat box was created from a die that’s been in my craft room for almost a YEAR and has never been used: the Mini Curvy Keepsakes Box Dies. These dies create the CUTEST little boxes that fit about 6 Hershey’s Kisses, among other treats.
I love any product that creates a fun little treat holder, without a lot of extra work. So, if you are like me and bought this die and have never used it…or maybe you are just looking for a fun and easy treat holder…this is it! Easy peasy!!! Perfect for SO many occasions and really easy to assemble.
Treat Box Details:
- Start with a 5-1/2” x 8-1/2” piece of Petal Pink Cardstock.
- Die cut the Mini Curvy Keepsakes Treat Box.
- Stamp random floral images all over the die cut image, using Petal Ink ink and the smallest flower in the Prized Peony Stamp Set.
- Spritz with a mixture of a couple drops of the Champagne Mist Shimmer Paint and rubbing alcohol (70% or less) in a Stampin’ Spritzer, for sparkly detail
- Whisper White Cardstock: scrap to die cut tag from the Mini Curvy Keepsake Treat Box Dies, stamp small peony in Petal Pink Ink and sentiment from So Sentimental stamp set in Gray Granite Ink
- Tie box closed with Whisper White Crinkled Seam Binding
- Add one Champagne Rhinestone
