So Much Happy for PP499

Happy Sunday! Time for a new creative challenge over at The Paper Players
This week, LeAnne is hosting our monthly Color Challenge.
Check it out and play along with us!
This is really a lovely color combo, isn’t it? There is just something about the mix of gray with soft yellow and blue. I had so many ideas with this color combo, from using florals to a a baby card. Oddly enough, my finished card didn’t check either of those boxes. Haha! I did really enjoy working with these colors and it will definitely be going in the “file of favorites” for sure.

I have listed all of the measurements and details for this card below along with a full supply list at the very end of this post.
I recently received an order with the So Much Happy Bundle and have been itching to ink it up. The So Much Happy stamp set is perfect to celebrate so many occasions and the coordinating Happy Dies have lots of fun shapes and details. I especially love that big, bold “HAPPY” sentiment! It’s tough to see in the photos, but I spritzed on some sparkly detail all over the Seaside Spray layer using some Champagne Mist Shimmer Paint mixed with rubbing alcohol. It’s super sparkly in-person!
Card Measurements and Details:
  • So Saffron Card Base - 4-1/4” x 11”, scored at 5-1/2”
  • Whisper White Cardstock  - 4” x 5-1/4”, embossed with Subtle 3D Embossing Folder
  • Seaside Spray Cardstock - 3-7/8” x 5-1/8”, die cut the word “Happy” at an angle using the Happy Dies, also emboss the textured detail above and below the word using the strip from the Happy Dies
  • Spritz the entire piece of Seaside Spray Cardstock with a mixture of Champagne Mist Shimmer Paint and rubbing alcohol (70% or less) in a Stampin’ Spritzer
  • So Saffron Cardstock - scrap to die cut three banners from the Happy Dies
  • Whisper White Cardstock - scrap to stamp two small balloons in So Saffron ink and one large balloon in Seaside Spray ink, die cut using Happy Dies
  • Smoky Slate Cardzrtock - scrap to die cut three balloon strings from Happy Dies
  • Whisper White Cardstock - 1/2” x 2-1/2”, stamp sentiment is Smoky Slate ink and snip off either end at an angle
  • Add twine bow and rhinestones
  • Whisper White Cardstock (inside card) - 4” x 5-1/4
Finally, a peek inside the card. I simply stamped a sentiment and another big balloon to keep the party going from the front of the card.

I hope you will join us this week over at The Paper Players and share your project for our Color Challenge. We’d love to see what you come up with! You can link up your project through Noon PST on Friday July 17th, 2020
