October 2020 - Kylie’s Demonstrator Training Blog Hop

Hello and welcome to Kylie’s Demonstrator Training Blog Hop for October! We are a group of Stampin’ Up!® Demonstrators from all over the world sharing our love of stamping. We are all part of Kylie Bertucci’s training group where we are having a great time learning and growing our Stampin’ Up!® businesses. If this is the first time you are visiting my blog, welcome! My name is Anne Marie Hile and I live in the United States. I’m so glad you stopped by today!

You may be starting here or have arrived from another blog - either way, you can find the link list of all of the participants at the bottom of this post. Happy Hopping!
Our theme for this blog hop is “Thank You”, specifically the thank you cards we are making to share with our customers this month.

I decided to use two of my favorite products right now to whip up a batch of fun thank you cards to share with my awesome customers. The Press On stamp set is just adorable especially paired up with the Plaid Tidings Designer Series Paper which features a LOT of different color combos. For this card, I went with Rich Razzleberry and Mango Melody to go with that beautiful plaid paper.

*I’ve listed all of the measurements and details for my card below, along with a full supply list at the very end of this post.
Now I realize that not everyone is a coffee drinker but that little “to-go” cup could be filled with tea or even hot chocolate, right? Even though some of the sentiments in the stamp set are specific to coffee, “A Cup of Thanks” works for everyone! This stamp set is great for paper piecing, which is a fun way to add extra details to your stamped images without coloring. You simply stamp the image multiple times and cut and glue the pieces back together. This particular image is really easy to cut out, it takes the “fussy” out of fussy cutting.
Because I was making quite a few of these cards, I decided to do another card in exactly the same design featuring a completely different color combo of Pretty Peacock, Shaded Spruce and Seaside Spray. The first card is a more bold and bright and this card is a little more subdued. That is what I love about this DSP, SO many different color options. I can’t decide which one is my favorite between the two…I like them both! :)
Card Measurements and Details:
  • Rich Razzleberry OR Pretty Peacock Card Base: 4 1/4” x 11”, scored at 5 1/2”
  • Whisper White Cardstock: 4” x 5 1/4”
  • Mango Melody OR Shaded Spruce Cardstock: 3 7/8” x 5 1/8”, embossed using the Tasteful Textile 3D Embossing Folder
  • Plaid Tidings Designer Series Paper: die cut using the 3” x 4 3/8” rectangle from the Stitched Rectangle Dies
  • Whisper White Cardstock: die cut using the 2 1/4” x 3 1/2” rectangle from the Stitched Rectangle Dies
  • Whisper White Cardstock: scraps to stamp and fussy-cut two coffee cup images
  • Mango Melody OR Seaside Spray Cardstock and Plaid Tidings DSP: scraps to stamp and fussy cut the pieces for two coffee cups, emboss the cardstock pieces using the Subtle 3D Embossing Folder
  • Rich Razzleberry OR Pretty Peacock Cardstock: punch one small heart using the Dog Builder Punch, add  Wink of Stella for added sparkly detail
  • Add a Linen Thread Bow to card front using a Mini Glue Dot
  • Whisper White Cardstock (inside card): 4” x 5 1/4
  • Plaid Tidings Designer Series Paper (inside card): 3/4” x 5 1/4”
Finally, a look at the inside of the card using a little strip of that beautiful paper and a trio of stamped cups from the Press On stamp set. I used coordinating colors in the Stampin’ Blends markers to dress them up.
