December 2020 - Around the World on Wednesday Blog Hop

Hello stamping friends! Today, I am SO excited to share my project with you for the Around the World on Wednesday Blog Hop. We are an awesome group of stampers from all over the world who come together on the second Wednesday of every month to share some creative inspiration and smiles from around the globe. You will definitely want to visit everyone to see their amazing projects. We hope you enjoy hopping along with us this month!

If this is the first time you are visiting my blog, I’m Anne Marie Hile from San Antonio, TX and I am so happy that you are visiting today. Welcome!
Our theme for the December 2020 Blog Hop is “Something Old, Something New”. There are so many ways to interpret this theme and that is why I LOVE being part of this blog hop. Throughout this hop you may see some retired products, some new products, some of the designer’s favorites, or just a mixture of all of the above.
Well, I don’t know about you but I’m ready for 2020 to take a bow and exit the stage already. What a year, right? I had initially planned to do a mix of older products with something new. But once I got to playing with “something new” I fell into a happy place creatively and that is what I went with for my project.

For my project, I decided to make a fun fold card using one of my favorite product suites in the upcoming January-June Stampin’ Up!® Mini Catalog: Ice Cream Corner! At our team meeting earlier  this week, I did a "Mystery Stamping" presentation and a “Double-Z Fold Card” for my project

*I’ve also shared all of the card measurements below along with a full supply list at the end of this post.
Once I created my card for the meeting I had fun making even more of these fun fold cards using some of the awesome new products in the Stampin’ Up!® Jan-June Mini Catalog. So, stay tuned because you might be seeing a “few” more designs using this fun fold here on my blog soon. *wink, wink* But here is the cool part about this fun fold card, it enables you to bust into that paper stash you know you are hiding and actually USE it!
Double Z-Fold Card Measurements and Details:
  • Blackberry Bliss Card Base: 4-1/4” x 11”
  • On the long side, score at 2-3/4” and 5-1/2”
  • Old Olive Cardstock: 3-1/4” x 9”
  • On the long side, score at 3” and 6”
  • Ice Cream Corner Designer Series Paper (ice cream pattern): 4” x 5-1/4”
  • Ice Cream Corner Designer Series Paper (striped pattern): 4” x 2-1/2”
  • Ice Cream Corner Designer Series Paper  (waffle cone pattern): 3” x 2-1/2”
  • Whisper White Cardstock: 3” x 2-3/4” (2 pieces)
  • Whisper White Cardstock: scraps to stamp and die cut three ice cream cones
  • Ice Cream Cone #1: stamp ice cream image by coloring with Purple Posy Stampin’ Write Marker, then stamp “dots” using Blackberry Bliss Ink
  • Ice Cream Cone #2: stamp ice cream image with Petal Pink ink, then stamp “dots” using Terracotta Tile Ink
  • Ice Cream Cone #3: stamp ice cream with Pool Party ink, then stamp “dots” using Bermuda Bay Ink
  • Accent stamped images with Wink of Stella
  • Punch Ice cream cone bases from Ice Cream Corner Designer Series Paper
  • Use photos as a guide for how to adhere the layers together!
Finally, just a little close-up of that little trio of ice cream cones! I just love this new suite! It took six ink colors to create these sweet scoops and I just love how the colors pop with the DSP, don’t know? Anyhoo, this was a fun card to create and I hope you have some fun putting one together, too. Now let’s get hopping, y’all!!
