Snowman Season for Facebook Live

Hello everyone! For Facebook Friday this week I shared a couple of fun card ideas to get some last minute Christmas cards made using the Snowman Season stamp set and Plaid Tidings Designer Series Paper.

Please join me over on on my *Stampin’ Anne Facebook Page* Friday at 4:00 pm CST, where I share some fun Stampin’ Up!® projects. If you can’t make it Live, you can always watch the replay. Also, I’d like to invite you to join my Stampin’ Anne Facebook Group for more updates, promotions, upcoming classes and exclusive projects. Everyone is welcome!

The Plaid Tidings Designer Series Paper is probably my favorite paper pack in the August - December Stampin’ Up!® Mini Catalog. This paper, along with the Wrapped in Texture Embossing Folders I used on these cards, will be retiring on January 4th (or while supplies last) and is SO perfect for so many occasions. It’s great for holiday cards, fall cards or just all-occasion cards, too. I think I am on my 4th pack of this paper, I use it THAT much! If you don’t have this DSP, I highly recommend picking up one (or five) packs of it. :)
For Facebook Friday, I wanted to show how just by changing up the cardstock and ribbon colors, you can create some fun holiday cards, ready to pop in the mail. The sentiments on this card are not specific to Christmas either, so if you are running a little late, you can just make them “New Year” cards!
Card Measurements and Details:
  • Card Base: 4-1/4” x 11, scored at 5-1/2”
  • Cardstock Layer #1: 4” x 5-1/4”
  • Cardstock Layer #2: 3-7/8” x 5-1/8”, embossed with polka dot pattern from Wrapped in Texture Embossing Folder
  • Plaid Tidings Designer Series Paper: 1-3/4” x 5-1/8”
  • Whisper White Cardstock: die cut 2-5/8" circle from Layering Circle Dies, stamp snowman image in momento ink and color with coordinating Stamp’ Blends Markers. Accent with Wink of Stella for sparkly detail.
  • Cardstock scrap for sentiment: choose color that coordinates with card, stamp sentiment in Versamark, heat emboss in white (or just stamp in Momento ink, if preferred), then cut around image.
  • Ribbon and embellishments (rhinestones or adhesive-backed snowflakes)
  • Whisper White Cardstock (inside card): 4” x 5-1/4”
  • Plaid Tidings Designer Series Paper (inside card): 3/4” x 5-1/4”
Here are a few more looks with the same design but using different patterns of the Plaid Tidings DSP. What I love about this card is that it is a great way to use up some of that stash of DSP and ribbon by keeping the same basic design and just changing up the cardstock and Stampin’ Blends used to color the image. Which one of the four cards above is YOUR favorite

Color Combos:
  • Card #1 (top left): Cherry Cobbler, Garden Green, Crumb Cake and Whisper White
  • Card #2 (top middle): Seaside Spray, Melon Mambo and Whisper White
  • Card #3 (top right): Pretty Peacock, Balmy Blue and Whisper White
  • Card #4 (bottom row): Balmy Blue, Melon Mambo, Whisper White
Finally, here is a peek inside the card. I just added an extra strip of the plaid DSP and coordinating stamped images.
