Stamping Inkspirations - January 2021 Blog Hop

Hello and Happy Saturday to you! I am super excited to share a project with you today as part of the very first Stamping Inspirations Blog Hop! We are a group of stampers from all over the world who enjoy sharing our love of Stampin’ Up!® products.

You may have arrived here from Vicki Milyard's blog or you may be starting the blog hop here. Welcome! My name is Anne Marie Hile and I live in the Texas here in the United States. I’m so happy you stopped by today!
Our theme for the blog hop is: Something New! This was easy inspiration because with the launch of the new Stampin’ Up January - June Mini Catalog, there are SO many new stamps to ink up in my stamp studio. I decided to create a card featuring one of my new favorites, the Ride the Range stamp set and coordinating Open Range Dies.

I actually put this card together on my weekly Facebook Live Video yesterday. If you’d like to watch the replay, you can find the video here: Ride the Range Facebook Live
Color Combo:
Living in Texas, this stamp set was a “must-have” for me! Plus it’s a great stamp set to create masculine cards, which I ALWAYS seem to need. The Open Range Dies contain so many great images, like the little fence and windmill. I actually used the catalog as my inspiration for this card. Often when playing with new products, I like to CASE some of the catalog samples as a starting point and then add some of my own details as I go, like additional layers, textures and embellishments.
Card Measurements and Details:
  • Early Espresso Card Base: 4-1/4” x 11”, scored at 5-1/2”
  • Very Vanilla Cardstock: 4” x 5-1/4”
  • Cinnamon Cider Cardstock: 3-7/8” x 5-1/8”, randomly stamp image throughout in Cinnamon Cider ink and emboss using Subtle 3D Embossing Folder
  • Ice Cream Corner Designer Series Paper: cut out arch image using Open Range Dies, sponge around edges using Cinnamon Cider Ink
  • Cinnamon Cider Cardstock: 3-1/4” x 1/2”
  • Early Espresso Cardstock: scrap to die cut fence from Open Range Dies
  • Crumb Cake Cardstock: scrap to die cut windmill image from Open Range Dies
  • Very Vanilla Cardstock: scarps to stamp images / sentiment, punch sentiment using Tailored Tag Punch and die cut cowboy image using Open Range Dies
  • In Good Taste Elements, Linen Thread and pearls colored using Cinnamon Cider Stampin’ Blends
  • Very Vanilla Cardstock (inside card): 4” x 5-1/4”
  • Ice Cream Corner Designer Series Paper (inside card): 1/2” x 5-1/4”
Finally a peek inside the card. I used another small strip of the DSP along with a coordinating sentiment and the little hay bale image. Such a fun masculine card, don’t you think? Again, if you’d like to see the video putting this card together you can watch it here: Ride The Range Facebook Live
