Sweet Strawberry for PP522

Happy Sunday and Happy New Year!
Time for a new creative challenge over at The Paper Players
This week, LeAnne is hosting our first challenge of 2021 and it’s a fun Theme Challenge
With the upcoming launch of the Stampin’ Up!® Mini Catalog on January 5th, there is plenty of “NEW” in my stamp studio right now! The tough part was picking something to use for this challenge. I’m always drawn to bright and happy colors, so the decision to create super cute strawberry card was an easy one.

*I’ve listed all of the measurements and details for my card below and there is a full supply list at the very end of this post.

Color Combo:
My card features some sneak peeks of new products that will be available on January 5th! The Sweet Strawberry stamp set and Strawberry Builder Punch will be in the new Stampin’ Up!® January - June Mini Catalog. This is such a cute bundle, I’m having so much fun creating with it! There is also a coordinating bundle that you can earn for FREE with a qualifying order during Sale-A-Bration from January 5th, 2021 - February 28th, 2021. It features the coordinating Berry Blessing stamp set and Berry Delightful Designer Series Paper
The card layout is great for showcasing Designer Series Paper and one of my goals for the new year is to USE more Designer Series Paper on my projects. I always tell myself “it’s TOO pretty to use” and guess what? It just sits in my craft room, collecting dust. That’s no fun. These pretty patterns were meant to be shared and enjoyed. I figure that if I use it up, I can always just buy more. Problem solved. Haha!
Card Measurements and Details:

Finally, here is a peek inside the card. I simply added a little strip of the DSP and part of the leafy stamped image. It’s a simple detail but keeps the fun going from the front of the card.

I also ended up making a second card with different patterns of the DSP for my Facebook Live Video today. You can watch the replay of that video here: Sweet Strawberry Facebook Live. I’m not sure which card I like best! What do you think?

I hope you will join us this week over at The Paper Players and share your project for our Something New Theme Challenge. We’d love to see what you come up with! You can link up your project through Noon PST on Friday January 8th, 2021
