Hello there and Happy October to you! I’m thrilled to be blog hopping today with the Positive Inkers Global Design Team. We are a group of Stampin’ Up!® Demonstrators from around the globe who are super-excited to share our love of creativity. I’m so happy you stopped by today!
If this is the fist time you are visiting, please let me introduce myself. My name is Anne Marie Hile and I live in San Antonio, Texas. Welcome!
Our theme this month is a fabulous Color Challenge:
*I’ve listed all of the measurements and details for my cards below and there is a full supply list at the very end of this post.
I know I’m probably not alone when the first thing that popped into my head with these colors was a holiday card. I decided to pull out my Delivering Cheer stamp set to really make these colors come to life. I was talking to a friend tonight about the card I created and she asked about the stamp set. I replied “I used the the headless set.” To which she replied that calling it the “hidden head set" might be a better reference point. Haha! So here we are.
I stamped the image and colored it with Stampin’ Blends. The wrap for the flowers is colored in Crumb Cake Blends lightened up a bit using the Color Lifter marker which made it resemble Sahara Sand a little more. I also added some Shimmery Crystal Effects to those sassy boots because footwear is always more fun when it is shiny AND sparkly!
I also decided to use one of the wreaths from the Seasonal Swirls Dies as accent pieces. I happened to have a die cut wreath sitting on my desk in a color that didn’t coordinate but once I cut it apart, I knew it would be a fun way to introduce more Sahara Sand to the card. I also sponged some Sahara Sand ink around the edges of the cut “sprigs” and then added sparkle with Clear Wink of Stella. A little sparkle is always a good thing, right? Then, I popped on a trio of Wonderful Gems around the sentiment to add some extra detail.
