Our theme for this month is: A Sketch Challenge!
It’s no secret that Sketch Challenges are my FAVORITE! Sketches are such a great starting point for creative inspiration. Once I see the sketch, I head over to my stamps and look over every single set to find the one set that “speaks” to me for the layout. Then I pick my colors, embellishments, etc. I hope this sketch inspires you to create as well!
*I’ve listed all of the measurements and details for my projects below and there is a full supply list at the very end of this post.
Sandy put together this awesome sketch for the blog hop and I LOVE it! You can add lots of patterns and layers OR just keep it simple too. So many possibilities! I decided to use some NEW products that will be available as Online Exclusives starting TODAY! More about that below.
I had quite a few ideas for this fabulous sketch, but in the end I was just drawn to use some brand-new products. Isn’t it funny how sometimes you choose the products and sometimes the products choose YOU? When you have a color combo this pretty, it’s hard to say no to it!

There is also a new 3-pack of embossing folders appropriately named Basics 3D Embossing Folders. This set features the crosshatch pattern I used on my card, along with polka dots and a dainty floral pattern. They really are a must-have to add fun texture to cards.
This is something new that Stampin’ Up! is offering this year. There will be more products launching TODAY (March 1st), too. They will be offered exclusively online and not part of any catalog release. This is an awesome way to get even more new product at different times throughout the year. I’m super-excited for these new products and I hope you are as well.

- Flirty Flamingo Card Base: 4-1/4” x 11”, scored at 5-1/2"
- Daffodil Delight Cardstock: 4” x 5-1/4”
- Petal Pink Cardstock: 3-7/8” x 5-1/8”, emboss with crosshatch pattern from the new Basics 3D Embossing Folders (sponge some ink around edges for some extra shading)
- Hello, Irresistible Designer Series Paper: 1-1/2” x 4-3/4”
- Hello, Irresistible Designer Series Paper: 2-3/4” x 2-1/4”
- Die-cut flowers from Hello, Irresistible Designer Series Paper, add Wink of Stella for added sparkle
- Textured Shimmer Paper: scrap of white to die cut leaves
- Basic White Cardstock: scrap to die cut label from Something Fancy Dies
- Loose Frosted Gems and White Baker’s Twine
- Basic White Cardstock (card interior): 4” x 5-1/4”
- Hello, Irresistible Designer Series Paper (card interior): 3/4” x 5-1/4”
Finally, a peek inside the card. I added another piece of that beautiful DSP along with a stamped sentiment and some little stamped splotches. Just a little added texture to “keep the party going” inside the card.
