Sweetest Cherries for PP640

Happy Sunday, friends!
Time for a fun new creative challenge over at The Paper Players
This week, our lovely Jaydee is hosting our Color Challenge.
When I first saw this color combo, I loved it…it has pink involved, so that was a given for me. :) However, when I sat down to create, I found myself a little stumped as to HOW I wanted to use it. I knew I wanted to make a birthday card (mostly because I need one this week) so I went over to the stamp shelves and starting looking through all of my sets. Then it hit me…a bowlful of cherries! I sure hope you will get crafty and join us over at The Paper Players. We’d love to see what YOU create!

*I’ve listed all of the measurements and details for my card below and there is a full supply list at the very end of this post.
Color Combo:
The Sweetest Cherries stamp set and coordinating Cherry Builder Punch are a lot of fun! I just love how easy it is to stamp, punch and assemble the cherries. Plus they look great stamped in my favorite pink: Melon Mambo! It’s a little tough to see in the photo but I also added some Wink of Stella Glitter Brush to the cherries. Everything is better with sparkle, especially for a birthday card!

I originally was going to use the other side of the Designer Series paper which has a polka dot pattern. But when I flipped it over to add the adhesive, I stopped and decided that I liked the playful stripes a lot better. It’s a bold pattern but I think it just works with the large focal image. Even though I used Smoky Slate (gray) for the bowl, I also wanted to tie in the silver from the color combo, too. So I added a little silver bow and two rhinestones for the finishing touches. I love how this card came out and I hope you do as well.

Finally a peek inside the card! I just love a big, bold sentiment, don’t you? I also added a leftover scrap of DSP from the front of the card and an extra cherry to “keep the party going” from the front of the card. Such a fun and cheerful card!
