Beautiful Balloons for PP645

Happy Sunday, friends!
Time for a fun new creative challenge over at The Paper Players
This week, Jaydee is hosting our Clean-and-Simple (CAS) Challenge.
Ahhh, Clean-and-Simple week, we meet again. I knew would be my biggest challenge of the year…a ONE LAYER CARD! *cue the scary theme music here* This layer-loving gal struggled a bit with this one but I got through it. Even if it did take me 4 sheets of cardstock to get the stamping perfect. Haha! I sure hope you will take this challenge for a spin and join us over at The Paper Players. We’d love to see what YOU create!

*I’ve listed all of the measurements and details for my card below and there is a full supply list at the very end of this post.
I will admit, I struggled a bit to figure out what I wanted to use for this card. I happened to have the Beautiful Balloons stamp set on my desk from my weekly Facebook Friday video tutorial and I thought “If I can only have one layer, I’m going to compensate with some bold images and happy colors!”

And voila, here is how it turned out! I used masking paper to layer the stamped balloons and added some extra pops of color with the In Color Pearls. I like how the colors really stand out on the clean layout, don’t you? :-)

Card Measurements and Details:
  • Thick Basic White Cardstock: 4-1/4” x 11”, scored at 5-1/2” - That’s IT!
  • Sweet Sorbet, Starry Sky and Memento inks
  • In Color Pearls and Simply Elegant Trim
Finally, here is a peek inside the card. I simply stamped a coordinating sentiment and another little balloon to keep the party going from the front of the card. Easy peasy and ready to pop in the mail!

I hope you will join us this week over at The Paper Players and share your project for our  One Layer Wonder Clean-and-Simple ChallengeWe’d love to see what you come up with! You can link up your project through Noon PST on Friday June 23rd, 2023

  6. Anne Marie, I certainly understand using up 4 sheets of cardstock to get the best inked image! The simplest cards often take the longest to produce - especially when you're a perfectionist! Well, you nailed it on this one and I love the inside with the balloon bleeding off of the left and bottom of the card. Great one-layer card!
