Time for a fun new creative challenge over at The Paper Players!
This week, Joanne is hosting our Theme Challenge.
Oh, how I love a critter card and the inspiration photo just makes me smile! I sure hope you will take this challenge for a spin and join us over at The Paper Players. We’d love to see what YOU create!

For my card, I decided to use a stamp set that I have had for a while now…but haven’t used. I got it for something specific and then promptly forgot what I had intended to make with it. Don’t you love it when that happens? Nevertheless, the Wildlife Wonder stamp set is a really cool set. The images in this set are “Dist-ink-ctive” meaning the images will stamp in different opacities on a single stamped image. It really adds a lot of detail without a lot of work. The sentiments are also pretty great in this set, too. I always need masculine cards, so I whipped up a few of these with different sentiments to have on hand.
I’m a little smitten with the All About Autumn Specialty Designer Series Paper right now. I seriously can’t stop using it! This paper will officially be available to order starting September 6th in the new Stampin’ Up! Mini Catalog. One side of the paper has coper foil detail and the other features gorgeous photographic imagery. The leaves were the perfect backdrop for the bear taking a leisurely stroll in the woods. I also popped in the new Natural Ribbon and some Linen Thread detail for texture. The two Copper Clay Dots were the finishing detail.

- Copper Clay Card Base: 5-1/2” x 8-1/2”, scored at 4-1/4”
- Early Espresso Cardstock: 5-1/4” x 4"
- All About Autumn Specialty Designer Series Paper (available 9/6/23): 5-1/8” x 3-7/8”
- Copper Clay Cardstock: 3-3/4” x 2-3/4”
- Very Vanilla Cardstock: 3-5/8” x 2-5/8”, stamp images in Pecan Pie and Early Espresso, add Crumb Cake ink around edges with a Sponge Dauber
- Copper Clay Cardstock: scr to die-cut smallest circle from Stylish Shapes Dies, heat emboss sentiment
- Copper & Natural Ribbon Combo Pack (avail. 9/6/23), Linen Thread and Copper Clay Dots
- Very Vanilla Cardstock (card interior): 5-1/4” x 4”
- All About Autumn Specialty Designer Series Paper (card interior): 3/4” x 4”
Finally, a peek inside the card. I added a coordinating strip of Designer Series Paper and a stamped sentiment sentiment. Yup, that sentiment is a little crooked. Oops! It just adds to the handmade charm!

ReplyDeleteAnne Marie I would never have thought to pair that paper with the bear image, yet it works so well - a fabulous card. I even added a pack of that paper to my basket this week (when I had been so sure I didn't need it lol!)
