Happy Sunday, friends!
Time for a fun new creative challenge over at The Paper Players!
This week, Jaydee is hosting our Color Challenge.
This is such a lovely color palette and so fitting for the Autumn season. Later this week, the high temps here are supposed to dip under 90 degrees for the first time in months. SO excited! I’m already planning my outfit for a trip to Starbucks for my first Pumpkin coffee drink of the season. Haha! I sure hope you will take this challenge for a spin and join us over at The Paper Players. We’d love to see what YOU create!
*I’ve shared a full supply list of products used to create this card at the end of this post.
These colors had me inspired to use the new Autumn Leaves Bundle from the Stampin’ Up!® Mini Catalog. I just love all of the fabulous foliage in this set. I mixed some of the stamped leaves with the detailed die-cut leaves for a cluster of Autumn goodness in the challenge colors. I also used the All About Autumn Specialty Designer Series Paper for that touch of copper metallic detail in the background. The new Distressed Tiles 3D Embossing Folder added a great pop of texture on the Very Vanilla background, too.
For a little more texture, I took a piece of the Pebbled Path Textured Ribbon and pulled one of the fibers on the end to fray the ribbon. I saved the frayed ribbon for another project. and took the single strand that I pulled the ribbon apart with pop behind the sentiment label. It adds some great texture and interest without a lot of bulk. Finally, its tough to see in the photos but I brushed the Wild Wheat leaves with Wink of Stella Glitter Brush for some added sparkle and shine.
I hope you will join us this week over at The Paper Players and share your project for our Color Challenge. We’d love to see what you come up with! You can link up your project through Noon PST on Friday September 15th, 2023.

ReplyDeleteStunning card! I love the fall vibe it gives! TFS
ReplyDeleteAnne Marie, you rocked the colors. The use of the colors for those gorgeous autumnal leaves works beautifully and I especially love the choice of DSP. Fabulous card, my friend. Thank you for making my colors shine. Oh... and welcome to the 90s! So glad your temps have dropped

I so convinced my self I did not need another leaf set - but I do like the detail on these Anne Marie!! I did cave when I realised that the reverse of those photographic papers had the lovely metallic embossing that you showcase here. Just beautiful!
ReplyDeleteAnne Marie, I love that you used a copper-patterned paper as your base, combined with the vanilla texture. I thought about using copper and just couldn't manage to pull it off - but you certainly did! The frayed ribbon trick is a great idea - hope you don't mind if I try it sometime. Beautiful job with Jaydee's colors!
ReplyDeleteAnne Marie, you used all these colors perfectly! That new leafy set is perfect along with those gorgeous papers and I like how you added just a wee touch of the Pebbled Path on those diecuts!
ReplyDeleteAnne Marie, this is so gorgeous! I love every detail! These colors are just perfect for Fall! I love all the pretty leaves and the feeling of Fall! Just perfect, My Friend!
ReplyDeleteAnne Marie, What a beautiful fall card! The colors worked perfectly with those leaves.
ReplyDeleteAbsolutely stunning, Anne Marie! What a wonderful way to showcase these rich colors! The textured Very Vanilla cardstock is the perfect backdrop. As always, you nailed it! Have an awesome weekend!
