Submarine Life for PP680

Happy Sunday and Happy March, friends!
Time for a new creative challenge over at The Paper Players
This week, Jaydee is hosting our  Color Challenge.

Any color combo where pink is in the mix is always a winner in my book. The fun part about this combo is that it can be ANY shade of green, pink and yellow. If you know me well, I’m always going with bright colors if given a choice. But I think you could really have some fun with different shades in the colors, too. I sure hope you will join us over at The Paper Players. We’d love to see what YOU create!

*I’ve shared the supply list of products used to create this card at the end of this post.

When I saw the color combo, I was immediately inspired to create with the Submarine Life stamps and punch from the Stampin’ Up!® Mini Catalog. I mean don’t we all need “a yellow submarine” (sing along with me) to send some smiles across the miles? I created a little underwater scene with a fun scrappy strip background to bring this fab color combo to life on my card.

I made a second version of this card for my "Sunday Funday" Facebook Live. This version used 7 instead of 6 strips (the bottom card in the photo above) because I initially angled them a little too high and needed to balance out some space. I actually kind of liked it with a little more color in the background, but either way, it’s just a fun card, don’t you think?

came together!

I finished the card with some Iridescent Adhesive-Backed Discs around th starfish and fist trio because I thought the looked like bubbles. The pop of shine is great and they don’t add more bulk to the card for mailing. Although tough to see in the photos, I also brushed some Wink of Stella on the submarine windows which looks really snazzy in person.

Finally, here is a peek inside the card! I added a few more scrappy strips along with the adorable little crab and a coordinating sentiment. I love that little crab and his “jazz hands” or claws…or whatever you want to call them. He’s just fun!

I hope you will join us this week over at The Paper Players and share your project for our Color ChallengeWe’d love to see what you come up with! You can link up your project through Noon PST on Friday March 15th, 2024
