December 2022 - Stamping Sunday Bog Hop

Hello Stamping Friends! Today, I’m super-excited to share the December 2022 Stamping Sunday Blog Hop. This hop is hosted by Sara Levin and we share on the second Sunday of every month.

Our theme for the month is “Hostess with the Mostest” where we are each sharing two projects for gift-giving (such as favors, table decor, wine tags, host gifts, etc.) just in time for the holiday season. Welcome, I’m so happy you are here today!
’Tis the season of treat holders! This time of year, I always need little “goodies” whether it’s for friends, neighbors, co-workers…the list goes on and on. I don’t know about you, but I really think presentation is so important when it comes to giving a gift. It’s that extra detail that makes it even more special to open it up.

Today, I am sharing two little treat holders using some of my favorite stamps and dies in the Stampin’ Up! Annual Catalog. The Christmas Season and Christmas to Remember stamp sets, along with the Seasonal Labels Dies are just perfect for the holiday season. I find that I reach for them a LOT when making cards and gifts. There is also the coordinating Painted Christmas Designer Series Paper which is available while supplies last. Right now, its still available at an amazing sale price, so grab a few extra packs while you can…I sure did.

*I’ve listed all of the measurements and details for my projects below and there is a full supply list at the very end of this post
Color Combo:
This is an easy little treat bag to assemble. It can hold anything from candy (I filled this one with Hershey Kisses) to jewelry, small cosmetics, tea bags…and SO much more. This bag is perfect for any occasion and is an awesome way to use up some of that Designer Series Paper hoard collection I know a few of you have in your crafty spaces. Just me? I didn’t think so! ;-)
Measurements and Details:
  • Painted Christmas Designer Series Paper: 5” x 7”
  • Score on short (5”) side at 1” and 4”
  • Score on long (7”) side at 3” and 4”
  • Fold, snip and glue tabs to create gift bag
  • Basic White Cardstock: die-cut the label from Seasonal Labels Dies and then die-cut with Stitched Greenery Die to create patterned background
  • Basic White Cardstock: scraps to stamp / die-cut berries and pine sprig. Stamp & fussy-cut the sentiment label with Paper Snips.
  • Silver Foil Specialty Pack: scrap to die cut leaf image from Seasonal Labels Dies
  • Accent berries with Clear Wink of Stella Glitter Brush
  • Use a standard handheld hole punch on the top of the bag to add the ribbon closure
  • Real Red & Garden Green Ribbon Combo Pack & Red Rhinestone Basic Jewels
My second project for the blog hop is small box with a Designer Series Paper wrap. I originally created this box to hold a sweet treat (I think it was something from the Little Debbie line…haha) but learned that it was also great to hold a gift card as well. We give SO many gift cards during the holidays, It’s just fun to wrap them up and make them extra-fancy. There are actually plenty of little gifts that could fit in this box, it’s just a good one to have in your stash when you need it!
Color Combo:
The gift card kind of “leans” inside the box at an angle, which I think is fun because it pops it up a bit when the box is opened. It’s not an “exact fit” but I don’t think it needs to be. You could even tuck in some low-profile chocolates behind the gift card for a surprise treat. A little extra space just means more room for goodies! I also added some extra detail inside the box to "keep the party going" from the detail on the outside.
Gift Card / Treat Box Measurements and Details:
  • Evening Evergreen Cardstock: 5-1/2” x 6"
  • Score on short (5-1/2”) side at 3/4” x 4-3/4”
  • Score on long (6”) side at 3/4”, 2-3/4”, 3-1/2” and 5-1/2”
  • Trim box as shown below, burnish fold lines and fold together adhering small flaps with liquid glue
  • Painted Christmas Designer Series Paper: 3” x 6-3/4”, wrap around box adhering the overlapping flap on the bottom (Note: this is a “belly band” for the box, so wrap it tight enough to stay on the box but easy enough for the recipient to slide it on and off to open the box)
  • Silver Foil Specialty Pack: 3-1/2” x 1/2”, banner punch both ends with Banners Pick A Punch
  • Basic White Cardstock: scraps to stamp and die cut the label, pinecone and leafy accent
  • Accent pinecone with Clear Wink of Stella Glitter Brush for added sparkle
  • Soft Succulent Open Weave Ribbon
  • Painted Christmas Designer Series Paper (box interior): 3-3/4” x 1-3/4”
  • Basic White Cardstock (box interior): 3-3/4” x 1-3/4”, stamp sentiment in Soft Suede ink and leaves in Evening Evergreen ink
Here is a peek at both projects together! Fun, festive and pretty easy to create. I whipped up quite a few extra of these to have handy in the coming weeks. You just never know when you might need an extra gift for someone special.

I hope you enjoyed these projects today using the Seasonal Labels Dies, Christmas Season & Seasonal Labels stamp sets! Please continue along on the Stamping Sunday Blog Hop to check out more awesome creative gift-giving inspiration for the holiday season and beyond.

October 2022 - Stamping Sunday Blog Hop

Hello Stamping Friends! Today, I’m super-excited to share the October 2022 Stamping Sunday Blog Hop. This hop is hosted by Sara Levin and we share on the second Sunday of every month. Our theme for the month is “Treats Not Tricks” where we are sharing treat packaging for a variety of occasions. Welcome, I’m so happy you are here today!
I originally wanted to make Halloween treats for this hop, BUT I was itching to use the Sweet Gingerbread stamp set and Gingerbread House Dies from the Stampin’ Up!® July - December Mini Catalog. I’ve had this set for a while now and it was time time to ink it up! So, my treats are kind of Christmas themed. But really, the box could be used for a lot of occasions. New neighbor, friends who bought a new home, or a “just because” treat for a friend. Lots of possibilities here!
This is a really easy box to create. Nothing too fancy. What I like about this box is that it lends itself nicely to lots of different treat options. Stuff it with chocolate, add some paper shreds and a gift card…maybe a few holiday-scented tea light candles. If it fits, it gifts!
Basically, get your semi-flat treats in a cello bag and pile them up to fit in the box. I used (my favorite) Ghirardelli chocolate squares. They are a good size and chocolate is almost always a fun treat.
Treat Box Measurements and Details:
  • Poppy Parade Cardstock: 8” x 5”
  • Score on long side at 1/2”, 1-1/2”, 4-1/4” and 5-1/4”
  • Score on short side at 1”
  • Trim using the guide in the photo below
  • Basic White Cardstock: scrap to stamp gingerbread house in Crushed Curry, stamp windows and door in Poppy Parade, stamp trim in Poppy Parade, stamp wreath in Granny Apple Green
  • Celebrate Everything Host Designer Series Paper: 2-1/2” x 3-3/4”
  • Real Red & White Glimmer Paper (red): die cut banner from Stylish Shapes Dies
  • Basic White Cardstock: 1-1/2” x 7/8”, stamp sentiment in Momento ink
My second project was inspired by one of the awesome bags available in the Stampin’ Up Annual Catalog. The Peekaboo Treat Bags are SO fun! I received a set of these sweet treat bags at my monthly team meeting and couldn’t WAIT to use them. The come in a pack of 10 with 5 white and 5 kraft colored bags. I just love how easy they are to decorate. Just a little pop of DSP and some fun images and BOOM, a super-adorable treat bag! If you are like me and have maybe overlooked these little bags, check ‘em out. You can fill them with SO many things, I went with some Werther’s candies, because not only are they shiny and fun…but they also taste pretty yummy!
