Love is Kindness for Paper Players #235

Hey there! This week at The Paper Players, I am honored to be hosting our color challenge. I picked these colors because I thought they were really versatile to celebrate the spring season.  Please join us and play along!
As soon as I picked the challenge colors, I knew that I wanted to ink up the Love is Kindness stamp set, I colored the flowers with my Copics and paper pieced the newspaper "wrap" around the flowers  I added some glitter to the flowers because...well... I have no reason other than I felt like this card REALLY needed some sparkle! The edges of the layers are sponged with Crumb Cake ink.
Please join us over at The Paper Players! The challenge closes on Friday, March 13th, 2015 at Noon (PST).

The Paper Players Design Team
Before I sign off, I want to share one of my photos. This is Flip. I just love this sweet boy! Every time I go to take photos at my friend's rescue, he is always happy to get a lot of extra attention . Flip is FIV+ but that shouldn't discourage anyone from adopting him. This sweet guy has a lot of love to share and is looking for his forever home.
Thanks of stopping by! :)

  3. Beautiful card! I nearly used this stamp set myself so am very happy that I didn't. Love your layers and texture to really bring out the simplicity of the wonderful stamp. Your color challenge is perfect for all of us still under and blanket of snow! We will be happy with the temps in the 40's this week to work on getting it out of here. Good luck with getting your sweet baby adopted! He looks very sweet!!

  8. Oh my, this is soft and lovely AM! These colors are PERFECT for this stamp set and I love how you've added Crumb Cake to the edges--it gives such a vintage look that ties in with the newsprint wrapping and the whole feel. Just gorgeous! And Flip! What a cutie-pie...wish we could take him!

  11. I love your backgrounds - so textural. Those tulips are so pretty. We had tulips in that color at one time. People said they smelled like Jolly Ranchers candies. Sadly, the deer thought they were deer candy.

  12. I love the soft sponged edges to this card Anne Marie - it adds a slightly vintage feel even though it has such a soft and Spring-like feel. I like the addition of the sparkle to the flower centres too - a lovely take on your chosen colour palette this week!
