Meant to Be Valentine Card

Happy Valentine’s Day! Today, I wanted to share with you the card I created for my sweet husband. I wanted to keep it more on the simple side, which can sometimes be a challenge for me. I reached for my trusty Meant to Be Bundle from the Stampin’ Up!® Occasions Catalog. To give it a more masculine feel, I used the Buffalo Check and Hardwood Background stamps to add some pattern and texture.

I heat embossed the sentiment for a little added detail and then just popped on a strip of ribbon for more texture. I didn’t think it needed a knot or a bow, less was more. Finally, I popped on a trio of black Faceted  Dots to balance everything out, but not make it TOO flashy. The inside of the card has a Happy Valentine’s Day sentiment and some stamped hearts. I didn’t get a photo before I wrote the note to my hubby in there, so I had to forgo the photo this time. I’m happy to report that he loved his card!
I am submitting this card to the “Love is in the Air” theme challenge over at The Card Concept this week. I was inspired by the color combo in the photo and I would probably say that my card fit their “Clean and Graphic” element.

All of the products I used to create the card are listed below. You can click on any of the photos to head over to my online Stampin’ Up!® store. Thanks so much for stopping by today!
