Country Home for PP461

Hello and Happy Sunday!
It’s time for a new creative challenge over at The Paper Players
This week, the lovely and talented Jaydee has an awesome Tic-Tac-Toe Theme Challenge to inspire us to create. Simply choose at least 3 elements across, down, or diagonally. Or if you are feeling really inspired, use all 9 of the elements. I love Tic-Tac-Toe Challenges. They are a a great way to get those creative vibes working!

For my project, I selected: Fall - Orange - Leaves…and I guess Die Cut would work, even though it’s in a different row.
Last week at my team meeting, one of my friends had mentioned that she wanted to see some fun ideas using the new Snowfall Accents Puff Paint so I decided to create one of our meeting projects using it. Instead of using it for a snowy accent, I decided to pull out one of my favorite stamp sets or the fall season, Country Home. The puff paint was a perfect accent for “cotton” elements in the image.

Puff Paint is super easy to use, too. You just need a Heat Tool to make it "do its thing". Simply shake the bottle well, add to your image as desired (a little goes a long way) and then heat it up to watch the magic happen. Just an FYI, this item is currently on backorder and will be shipping the week of October 7th.

Color Combo:

This card comes together really easily because the stamped image is really the star of the show. I colored the image with Stampin’ Blends and fussy cut the little oval for the sentiment. I used the Tin Tile 3D Embossing Folder for extra texture on the background and 2 die cuts from the Frosted Bouquet Dies as “leafy” accents.

It’s a little tough to see in the photo, but I added Clear Wink of Stella to the stamped image and also on the die cuts, for added detail. That puff paint really adds a fun little touch, don’t you think? Everyone at my team meeting loved it and I hope you do, too.

 Card Measurements:
  • Crumb Cake Card Base - 4-1/4” x 11”, scored at 5-1/2”
  • Bermuda Bay Cardstock - 4” x 5-1/4”
  • Cajun Craze Cardstock (embossed with Tin Tile 3D Embossing Folder) - 3-7/8” x 5-1/8”
  • Scraps of Crumb cake and Very Vanilla Cardstock for die cuts
  • Bermuda Bay Cardstock (inside card) - 4” x 5-1/4”
  • Very Vanilla Cardstock (inside card)  - 3-7/8” x 5-1/8”
Here is a quick peek inside the card with a coordinating sentiment and another colored image. This is just a fun card to celebrate the fall season!

I hope you will join us this week over at The Paper Players and share your project with our ”Tic-Tac-Toe Theme Challenge". We’d love to see what you come up with! You can link up your project through Noon PST on Friday October 4th, 2019.

  1. What a great idea for the puff paint...I tend to think more snow or whipped cream on my hot chocolate, but this is perfect! What a gorgeous card!
