If you have visited me before, it is no secret that I really enjoy making cards with lots of details, embellishments and layers. However, those cards can be a little more challenging to mail because of the bulk. One thing I am really trying to challenge myself to do more often is to create more “mailable” cards that are are a little more simple to make. Because sometimes, you just don’t have 2 hours to make a card, right? Ha!
Simple does NOT have to be boring, though! The Painted Poppies Designer Series Paper is absolutely gorgeous and makes it easy to create a great focal point for your card without a lot of fuss. The only stamping on this card are the two sentiments, one on the front and one inside. Of course, I had to add a pop of sparkle from my favorite ribbon and colored rhinestones. You can never go wrong when bling is involved!
Color Combination:
Card Measurements and Details:
- Basic Black Card Base - 4-1/4” x 11”, scored at 5-1/2”

- Basic Black Cardstock - 3-1/4” x 4-1/2”

- Add card layers Poppy Parade Cardstock and then wrap a piece of Black Glittered Organdy Ribbon around the Poppy Parade layer

Here is a look inside the card. Once again, just keeping it simple with a little pop of color and a birthday sentiment. Quick, easy and ready to pop in the mail!
