Spring Has Sprung! - March Third Thursdays Blog Hop

Welcome once again to our Third Thursdays Blog Hop! This month, our theme for the hop is Spring Has Sprung. Everyone on the hop will be featuring awesome projects to inspire your creativity. I’ve listed all of the hoppers toward the end of the post, so make sure you stop by and see what they have to share today!
My projects feature one of my favorite stamp sets from the Stampin’ Up!® Mini Catalog: Welcome Easter. Those adorable little critters just make me smile! They aren’t just for Easter either, this is a fun stamp set to have to welcome a new baby, for kids birthdays or just to send a smile to a friend. I mean, we all like cute critters, right?

I made a card and coordinating treat holder to hold some Reese’s Peanut Butter Eggs. The treat holder comes together so easily because the Kraft Pillow Boxes are already preassembled. Just add some paper, stamped and ribbon and you can dress them up for just about any occasion.
This is also a fun stamp set to color using Stampin’ Blends markers. I colored the little bunny’s fur with the Gray Granite Blends and then accented his little ears, nose and feet with a Light Flirty Flamingo Blend. I then went over those areas with the Color Lifter to lighten the color just a wee bit more so it wasn’t such a “bright” pink. The bunny’s cheeks were colored using the Light Petal Pink Blend. It’s also tough to see in the photos but I also added some Clear Wink of Stella to both of the critter because you can never have too much sparkly detail.
Don't you love that floral embossed background? It’s brand new and a little sneak peek of something that will be coming in the brand new Stampin’ Up!® Annual Catalog launching in May. The Ornate Floral 3D Embossing Folder is available to order now for demonstrators and will be available to customers a little early starting on April 1st.
