October 2020 - Stampin’ Friends Blog Hop

Welcome to the Stampin' Friends Blog Hop! We share on the third Thursday of every month with fun projects from all around the world! If you are following the hop, you arrived here from Steph Jandrow’s blog.

Hello, I’m Anne Marie Hile and I live in the United States. I’m so happy you stopped by today! This month, our theme is “Thanks/Thankful" I hope you enjoy hopping with us this month and find lots of creative inspiration
Thinking about the theme  of the Blog Hop, the sentiments in the Beautiful Autumn stamp set came to mind. Not only do the sentiments look beautiful with that fun mix of fonts, they are really great for sending out those “just because” cards to let someone know how much they mean to you.

I’m just a little bit obsessed with the Plaid Tidings Designer Series Paper right now, so it’s not a surprise that it was the first thing I grabbed for my projects. There are so many beautiful patterns in this paper and the color combos are so versatile for so many occasions.

*I’ve listed all of the measurements for my projects below and there is a full list of supplies at the very end of this blog post.

Color Combo:
I decided to pair up the Beautiful Autumn stamp set with my all-time favorite Gathered Leaves Dies. I thought the leaves really “worked” with the plaid pattern. I also used a woodgrain pattern theme the In Good Taste Designer Series Paper. I seem to have forgotten about that paper, so I’m trying to use it more often. I also embossed the DSP for some added texture which is tough to see in the photos but looks awesome in-person.

PS: Both the Plaid Tidings and the In Good Taste DSP are on sale right now for 15% off, through the end of the month.

My coordinating project is a quick and easy notepad cover using the same elements featured on the card.Come to think of it, the cover of the notepad could also be another idea for a card layout with a few measurement tweaks…hmmm.

These little notepads come 5 to a pack and I found them at Dollar Tree. They are also available on their website to order. I have actually shared these notepad covers before with a little bit of a different design, but they are super easy to create. I make a LOT of these to send out to friends and loved ones. What I love is that not only do they coordinate with the card, they are functional, too. I love office supplies and I don’t ever thing one can have TOO many notepads. They always come in handy!
