July 2021 - Kylie and Bruno’s Demonstrator Blog Hop

Hello and welcome to Kylie and Bruno's Demonstrator Training Blog Hop for July! We are a group of Stampin’ Up!® Demonstrators from all over the world sharing our love of stamping. We are all part of Kylie & Bruno Bertucci’s training group where we are having a great time learning and growing our Stampin’ Up!® businesses. If this is the first time you are visiting my blog, welcome! My name is Anne Marie Hile and I live in Texas in the United States. I’m so glad you stopped by today!

You may be starting here or have arrived from another blog - either way, you can find the link list of all of the participants at the bottom of this post. Happy Hopping!
Our theme for this blog hop is “Thank You”, specifically the thank you cards we are making to share with our customers this month.

I decided to use one of my favorite suites in the Stampin’ Up!® Annual Catalog for my cards. The In Symmetry stamp set and coordinating Symmetrical Stems Border Punch are amazing for fun and whimsical floral images and the sentiments really pop. I always love a good font for sentiments and this one is gorgeous! The stamps and punch are sold separately OR can be purchased together in a bundle for 10% off.

*I’ve listed all of the measurements and details for my card below and there is a full supply list at the very end of this post.
Color Combo:
I just love the bright and cheery colors on this card! The Sweet Symmetry Designer Series Paper in this suite coordinates beautifully with the stamps and punch. Using a little or a lot of the DSP can create such different looks. This DSP is also on sale for an extra 15% off through August 2nd, which is great if you like to hoard…I mean, collect DSP like I do. Haha! Tipping my hat to Kylie & Bruno, I decided to “love it and chop it” and showcase the DSP on these cards.
There is also a coordinating Flirty Flamingo Metallic Ribbon in this suite and if you’ve ever visited me before, I never say no when pink ribbon is involved. I just love how the metallic accents make the ribbon extra-fancy, too. Originally I had a bow on the card but the ribbon felt a little distracting, so I opted to add a little “zig-zag” pattern of the ribbon behind the sentiment instead. I also added some gold Metallic Pearls to compliment the gold in the ribbon.

The punched leaves and the center of the largest flower are accented with Wink of Stella Glitter Brush because well, you just can’t go wrong with some extra sparkle! :)
Card Measurements and Details:
  • Just Jade Card Base: 4-1/4” x 11”, scored at 5-1/2” and folded in half to create card base
  • Flirty Flamingo Cardstock: 4” x 5-1/4”
  • Sweet Symmetry Designer Series Paper (pink pattern): 3-7/8” x 5-1/8”
  • Flirty Flamingo Cardstock: 3-7/8” x 7/8”, embossed using the polka dots from the Checks & Dots Embossing Folders
  • Sweet Symmetry Designer Series Paper (green pattern): 2-5/8” x 4”, die cut the second largest scalloped rectangle from the Stitched So Sweetly Dies
  • Basic White Cardstock: 1-15/16” x 3-5/16”, stamp stems, leaves and flowers
  • Basic White Cardstock: scrap to stamp the larger flower in Flirty Flamingo ink, color center with Dark Daffodil Delight Stampin’ Blends (it’s close to Bumblebee), fussy-cut with paper Snips, accent with Wink of Stella and adhere with Stampin’ Dimensionals.
  • Just Jade Cardstock: scrap to punch out three leaves, accent with Wink of Stella
  • Bumblebee Cardstock: 3” x 7/8”, stamp sentiment in Night of Navy ink and banner punch either end using the Tailored Tag Punch
  • Flirty Flamingo ribbon and Metallic Pearls
  • Basic White Cardstock (inside card): 4” x 5-1/4”
  • Sweet Symmetry Designer Series Paper (pink pattern, inside card): 3/4” x 5-1/4”
Finally, a look inside the card! I simply added another strip of that fun Designer Series Paper and some stamped leaves and hearts. Everything is more fun when you add hearts, right? I decided not to add a sentiment to allow room for a handwritten thank you note to share with my awesome customers letting them know how much I appreciate their support of my business.
