Easter Bunny for PP633

Happy Sunday, friends!
Time for a fun new creative challenge over at The Paper Players
This week, I’m super-excited to be hosting our Sketch Challenge.
If you have visited me before, you might know that Sketch Challenges are my absolute favorite. When I designed this sketch, I wanted it to be fun to show off different patterned paper and/or texture. But you can do anything that speaks to you with this one. You can add as many or as few layers as you’d like, just have some fun with the layout.

I sure hope you will get crafty and join us over at The Paper Players. We’d love to see what YOU create with this sketch!

*I’ve listed all of the measurements and details for my card below and there is a full supply list at the very end of this post.
Color Combo:
For any Sketch Challenge, I just let the layout guide me to the stamps and papers to use. I settled on the Easter Bunny stamp set and coordinating punch. Easter is right around the corner and I still need a few cards to mail out next week.

I simply punched out a little bunny from Kraft Paper, shaded around the edges and popped in some fun patterns from two different paper packs. There is also texture from the Gingham Embossing folder on the Basic White Layer.

Just a little FYI, the bunny punch is currently un-orderable but WILL be back in stock.
No Bunny Punch, No Problem: If you didn’t get the bunny punch or are waiting for it to return, don’t worry. You can still make an adorable card with another bunny image from the set. Truth be told, this is my favorite bunny from the set. It’s the little floppy ear that does it! I simply stamped her in Memento ink, colored her with Stampin’ Blends and fussy-cut her. I’m usually avoid fussy-cutting, but this image doesn’t stress me out.

I love how the two cards have the same layout, yet look so different because of the focal image, don’t you?
Card Measurements & Details:
  • Petal Pink Card Base: 4-1/4” x 11”, score at 5-1/2”
  • Mint Macaron Cardstock: 4-1/8” x 5-3/8”
  • Basic White Cardstock: 3-1/8” x 4-3/8”, emboss with Gingham Embossing Folder
  • Design A Daydream Designer Series Paper: 1-3/4” x 4-1/2”
  • Country Floral Lane Designer Series Paper: 1-3/4” x 4-1/2”
  • Vellum Cardstock: scrap to die cut the second largest circle from Stylish Shapes Dies
  • Kraft Paper Pack: scrap to punch bunny, then ink up edges with a Blending Brush and Crumb Cake ink.
  • Petal Pink Cardstock: scrap to punch the smallest flower from the Petal Park Punch (sorry, I forgot to add the punch to the product list at the end of the post)
  • Mint Macaron Cardstock: 3-3/4” x 1/2” stamp sentiment in Messy Meadow ink and punch right side with Banners Pick a Punch
  • Champagne Rhinestones & Linen Thread
  • Basic White (card interior): 4” x 5-1/4”
  • Country Floral Lane Designer Series Paper: 1/2” x 5-1/4”
Finally a peek inside the card! I kept things simple with a little strip of coordinating DSP, a stamped sentiment and a little butterfly image. I stamped the butterfly in Mossy Meadow ink and colored it in with Petal Pink and Mint Macaron Stampin’ Blends. Just a little added detail but I think it adds so much to the completed card.

I hope you will join us this week over at The Paper Players and share your project for my  Sketch ChallengeWe’d love to see what you come up with! You can link up your project through Noon PST on Friday March 31st, 2023

  3. Great sketch this week Anne Marie - perfect for us DSP lovers! Your bunny cards are adorable; I might just be a little partial to the first one, as I only have the punch and not the stamp set, but both are gorgeous!
