Tropical Chic for Facebook Live

Hello everyone! Today I wanted to share with you the three projects I created for my weekly Facebook Live video. I ended up sharing these a day later than usual because it was a really busy week for me, but I really wanted to share these projects with you. I used the the Tropical Chic bundle from the new catalog to create my projects. There is so much to love about this set! It just makes me think of summer, which is in full swing down here in South Texas. It is H-O-T out there!

By the way, there is a link the the end of this blog post with a PDF file which has all of the measurements for the projects along with a supply list.

You can see the replay of my Facebook Live video by clicking HERE.

Also, please join my Facebook Group page to see more project ideas and videos by clicking HERE. Everyone is welcome!

My first project was this cute treat box using the Mini Pizza Boxes. I added some chocolate to the inside of my box, but you could add all kind of goodies. It’s the perfect size for a cookie, some Hershey Nuggets or even some Post-It Notes, if you are looking for a "calorie-free" treat.
Next, I made this fun shaker card using the many of the products found in this suite. Shaker cards are pretty easy to make and I just love the added pop of sparkle from the sequins.

My last project features one of my all-time favorite Stampin’ Up! colors: Poppy Parade! I’m so happy this color has made a return this year. I have a feeling I’ll be using it a LOT!

All of the products I used to create the projects will be listed along with the measurements.

Also, if you put in an order in my online store ($30 minimum) by Tuesday June 26th, 2018 at midnight, I will send you these three make and takes for free! You will receive all of the supplies to create the projects but it will NOT include any stamped images (per Stampin’ Up! policy).

Please use Hostess Code EWXJD6XT

That’s how I will know that you ordered and will make sure that you get your make and takes. ($30 minimum)
If your order is over $150, please DO NOT use the Hostess Code, so that you can earn the Hostess Rewards. I will still send you the make and takes, along with an extra gift.

Remember, orders must be placed by Tuesday June 26th, 2018 at midnight for these make and takes.

Thanks so much for stopping by today! I hope you enjoyed these projects. Remember that I’ll be back on Facebook Live next Thursday June 28th at 2:30pm CST, so be sure to join me then. Until next time...

Have a HAPPY day!
-Anne Marie

PS: Listed below are the links to quite a few of the items I used on these projects. Please refer to the project sheets above for the complete list.

Under the Umbrella for Paper Players #231

Hello there! This week at The Paper Players my wonderful, amazing friend Nance has gorgeous color challenge to get inky with. Please join us and share your creations this week.
As soon as I pulled the 3 colors of card stock out of my stash, I was absolutely smitten with this combo. It can work for so many types of cards, but I really wanted to create something fun and cheery this week. One thing I have discovered about moving into the new house and totally recreating my stamp space is that I have a LOT of stuff! A lot of stuff that has never seen the light of day. Time to change that.  This fun umbrella die and sentiment set are from My Favorite Things. I dressed up the umbrella with some texture and sparkle...and of course that spot of bling. I can't seem to make a card without it.

The polka-dot background paper is actually pretty cool. It comes plain white with embossed details. You can sponge or spritz any color of ink you would like on it to create a "custom design". Super easy and totally customizable. It's the Irresistibly Yours Specialty DSP and is only available with a qualifying order during SU's Sale-A-Bration. Shoot me a message if you would like more details.
Finally, here is a photo of the inside of the card. I stamped the sentiment a little crooked originally, so I covered it up with the layered, punched detail. It's still not completely centered but shhh, just tilt your head and pretend it is. I had a crazy kitten on my desk while creating this card and by the time I got to stamping the sentiment I was tired of her shenanigans. She chewed up a punched umbrella handle and tried to eat some Stampin' Dimensionals. She is out of control!
Please join us over at The Paper Players! The challenge closes on Friday, February 13th, 2015 at Noon (PST). I'm actually having foot surgery that day...EEEK!! Stop by and say hello to the Design Team.

Before I sign off, I thought I would share a photo of my co-creator of the card, Miss Sophie. She looks like she is plotting her next move here...gotta love those kittens! Enjoy your day! :)

Chalk Talk for Paper Players #151

Hi there stamping friends! This week at the Paper Players our very own Nance has a cool sketch to try out. I had no idea what I wanted to do with the sketch when I started out.  But I knew I wanted to use the brand new pack of Eastern Elegance Designer Series Paper that was sitting on my desk. So I picked some patterns and got to cutting.
From there I ended up selecting the Chalk Talk stamp set for the main image because the pattern on the little tag kind of works with the paper. This stamp set has matching die cuts which rocks because it makes cutting out the images so easy to do. I added a little dressed up brad as an accent. I completely thought these were in the new SU catalog, but they are not. They do, however, live in the piles of unused awesomeness in my stamp studio, so I was glad they saw the light of day on this card. Haha! All of the supplies I used are listed at the end of this post.
Please join us this week over at the Paper Players! The challenge is open through Friday, June 28th at NOON (PDT). Please check out what the rest of the Design Team have created with this week's clean and simple challenge. This is sadly our last week with our awesome Guest Designers. Stop by and give some blogging love to Amy, Brian, Justin, Sandy and Jen. :)

Christmas Coffee for {PP #116}

Hey, hey, it's Sunday! We got a cool front last night here in South Texas and it FINALLY feels like fall around here. Temperatures are slated to be in the mid-60's today and that is awesome. Gotta enjoy it while it lasts because we are predicted to be back in the 90's by this Friday. *sigh* Ok, enough about the weather...you came to see a card, right? This week at the Paper Players, the lovely LeAnne has a fun theme challenge for us: Cups! Lots of cups! Please join us!
For my card, I decided to feature some Christmas coffee. I love the Scentsational Season stamp set and the fact that it has coordinating die cuts. I used the layout from Freshly Made Sketches for inspiration.

I used an embossing pen to shade in the "coffee" portion of the stamp. I then heat embossed it with Early Espresso Embossing Powder. Holiday cards are such a great excuse to use Glimmer Paper, so I added a little sparkly silver trim to one of the layers. All of the supplies I used are listed at the end of the post.
Here's a quick shot of the inside of the card, with a sentiment from the Cheers to You stamp set, because it was on my desk from yesterday's card.
Please join us this week at the Paper Players! Our challenge closes on Friday October 12th at Noon (PDT). The rest of the gals on the Design Team has created some fun projects, too. Stop by and share some bloggin' love!

Perfectly Preserved for {SSC #269} and a New Blog Look!

Hello stampers! Happy Tuesday to you! Today I wanted to share a card I made with some new items from the Stampin' Up Holiday Catalog. Earlier today, while perusing the web, I came upon this week's sketch from Stamping 411 and couldn't wait to play along. I know I have mentioned before how much I enjoy their fun sketches and this one is no exception with all of the different elements in the layout.
The Orchard Harvest DSP was sitting on top of my desk today, so I decided to crack it open for this card. I paired it up with the Perfectly Preserved and Friendship Preserves stamp sets. I think I am so smitten with these sets right now because they both have matching die cut sets that perfectly coordinate. I LOVE that! All of the edges on the card are distressed with some sponged Crumb Cake ink. The list of supplies that I used is featured at the end of this post.

There is a LOT of dimension to this card with all of the layers and popped up elements, as you can see in the photo below.
If you have visited me before, you may have noticed that my blog recently received a make-over, including a brand new color combo (...that is NOT pink! Whaaat??) and a new theme. I want to give a BIG shout out to my dear friend Lesley for helping me create my "new look". Thanks Lesley! :) She is an absolute rock star and used Stampin' Up's My Digital Studio software for the new design. I just LOVE it and I hope you do, too.

Have a HAPPY day! :)
