Valentine On the Fly for Facebook Live

Hello everyone! Yesterday, I did a “Sunday Funday” Live video over on Facebook sharing a beautiful card idea for Valentine’s Day.

Please join me over on on my *Stampin’ Anne Facebook Page*, where do Live videos sharing fun Stampin’ Up!® projects. My set time for Facebook Live is Friday at 4:00pm CST, however I have been trying to pop on more often. Be sure to “Like” and “Follow” my Facebook Page so you get the notifications. If you can’t make it Live, you can always watch the replay. Also, I’d like to invite you to join my Stampin’ Anne Facebook Group for more updates, promotions, upcoming classes and exclusive projects. Everyone is welcome!

*To check out the video for how this card was made, click here: Valentine Sunday Funday Facebook Live.
This was an “on the fly” card. I basically threw a bunch of different products in a basket, grabbed a trio of stamp sets and some paper and this is the end result. Everyone watching the Live video helped narrow down the choices, which was lots of fun.

The sentiment on this card is from an exclusive Host set that can only be earned during Sale-A-Bration: Punch Party. This set coordinates with three different punches and has sentiments for a variety of occasions. It’s FREE with a $350 order or party where the guest orders hit a minimum of $350. We all like earring free stuff, right? Please message me if you want to host an online stamping party with your friends!

All of the measurements for my project are listed below and there is a full supply list at the very end of this blog post.
Card Measurements and Details:
  • Rococo Rose Card Base: 4-1/4” x 11”, scored at 5-1/2”
  • Very Vanilla Cardstock: 4” x 5-1/4”
  • Love You Always Specialty Designer Series Paper: 3-7/8” x 5-1/8”
  • Very Vanilla Cardstock: die cut the largest stitched rectangle from the Stitched So Sweetly Dies and shade the background using Rococo Rose ink and a Blending Brush
  • Love You Always Specialty Designer Series Paper: punch one heart using heart from the Heart Punch Pack
  • Love You Always Foil Sheets: punch one scalloped heart from the Heart Punch Pack
  • Very Vanilla Cardstock: stamp polka dot outline from Heartfelt stamp set, stamp sentiment from Punch Party stamp set, then punch out.
  • Very Vanilla Scalloped Lace Trim: color with Blending Brush and ink (see video for details)
  • Pearls colored with Rococo Rose Stampin’ Blends
  • Very Vanilla Cardstock (inside card): 4” x 5-1/4”
  • Love You Always Specialty Designer Series Paper (inside card): 4” x 3/4”
Here is a peek inside the card! I used another strip of that gorgeous foiled paper along with the “LoveYou Lots” sentiment and hearts from the Heartfelt stamp set.
After the video, I decided to create a few more of these cards and for another option I used the sentiment from the Love You Always stamp set. It’s a little softer and and I like it with the pearls and lace trim.

Positive Inkers Global Design Team - November 2020

Hello there and Happy Sunday! I’m super-excited to be blog hopping for the first time today with the Positive Inkers Global Design Team. We are a team of Stampin’ Up! Demonstrators from around the globe who love to share our love of creativity. I’m so happy you stopped by today!

If this is the fist time you are visiting, please let me introduce myself. My name is Anne Marie Hile and I live in the greatt state of Texas in the United States. Welcome!
Sandy challenged us with a fun sketch this month for the hop. I LOVE a good sketch challenge to inspire creativity. When I saw this sketch, I immediately got the idea to use the Poinsettia Petals Bundle from the Stampin’ Up!® August-December Mini Catalog. I just love all of the layered detail you can create with the Poinsettia Petals stamp set and coordinating Poinsettia Dies. It’s a fantastic set for holiday cards!

*I’ve listed all of the measurements and details for my card below and there is a full supply list at the very end of this post.
I interpreted the sketch with the poinsettia as the focal image and then accented that with the elements in the sketch design. The “triangles" in the sketch were translated to the leaves on the poinsettia and the leafy sprig in the sketch was translated to the die cut “berries” and additional leaf. I popped the banner sentiment in the center of the layout, but did a single banner end because I felt like it fit better on the layout. I hope you like how it came together.

Color Combo:
I kind of wanted a bit of a “shabby-chic” feel to my card and decided to go with non-traditional Christmas colors. I’ve always been a fan of soft pink and green paired with Crumb Cake. I popped in some Champagne Foil and little Vellum for some extra detail. The embossed background really adds an awesome pop of detail and I just love those Beaded Pearls for the flower “centers”.

It’s a little tough to see in the photo but I added Clear Wink of Stella Glitter Brush to the layered poinsettia and the leaves for some added sparkle. I also wrapped a piece of lace and twine trim around the Very Vanilla layer. The lace kind of got lost but you can see an itty bitty peek of it on the left side of the card. I was originally going to add a lace bow but it took away from the flower a little, so I opted for a Linen Thread bow instead.
Card Measurements and Details:
  • Crumb Cake Card Base: 4 1/4” x 11”, scored at 5 1/2”
  • Petal Pink Cardstock: 4” x 5 1/4”
  • Very Vanilla Cardstock: 3 7/8” x 5 1/8”, embossed with Parisian Flourish 3D Embossing Folder
  • Vellum Cardstock: die cut one berry sprig from Poinsettia Dies
  • Champagne Foil Sheets: die cut two berry sprigs from Poinsettia Dies
  • Soft Sea Foam Cardstock: scrap to stamp three leaf images in Soft Sea Foam ink, die cut using Poinsettia Dies and accent with Clear Wink of Stella Glitter Brush
  • Petal Pink Cardstock: scrap to stamp and die cut three poinsettia images in Petal Pink ink, die cut using Poinsettia Dies and accent with Clear Wink of Stella Glitter Brush
  • Very Vanilla Cardstock: 2 1/4” x 5/8”, stamp sentiment in Crumb cake ink and punch right side using Banners Pick a Punch
  • Lace Trim, Linen Thread, Champagne Rhinestones (5) and Beaded Pearl (1)
  • Very Vanilla Cardstock (inside card): 4” x 5 1/4”, stamp sentiment and berry images in Crumb Cake ink, stamp berry “filler” image in Petal Pink ink
Finally a peek inside the card. I stamped a coordinating sentiment and some berry sprigs as accents.

I hope you enjoyed my card today! From here you will continue the blog hop to visit Jo Blackman in the UK. Click HERE to head over to her blog.
